Wicked on Ice

Just when I thought I'd heard it all...Wicked takes to the ice!! No, they are not making an ice capades version of Wicked, but it's fun to know that the University of Delaware's synchronized skating team loved Wicked so much, they design their competition routine to a Wicked medley. Now, how did I know all of this? Well, while waiting in line at the airport, a few of the girls noticed our Wicked luggage tags and starting asking questions. Then when they realized we were the cast of Wicked, the went crazy and felt it was a good omen for them to have met us, so I gave them my business card and told them to email me if they won. And low and behold...THEY WON THE BRONZE. So join me in congratulating the team on their bronze!!!! Congrats University of Delaware!!

Lots of New Stuff in Oz

Well, for those of you Wicked officianados...you're gonna see some changes the next time you see the show. This week we were in rehearsals learning a lot of new choreography, new staging and even some new lines. It gives the show a nice little lift of new things to spot. I personally am thrilled because I now get a single dance move! I get my very own Saut de basque in One Short Day. It took me 20 minutes to find out how to spell it, but I get to do one and it makes me happy! We put the changes in the show tonight and my Saut de basque was brilliant. Sheer brilliance. LOL No, all kidding aside, it was great to enact the new changes.

Still loving Florida and looking forward to moving to Miami soon too. See ya in a few!

Hello Sunny Florida

I don't mean to make anyone jealous, but oh my gosh, I was in the swimming pool at 10 a.m this morning here in sunny Florida. What a joy to basking in the warmth of summer in the middle of February. Gosh, I love touring LOL

We opened in Tampa tonight to an amazing sold out hour of 2500 screaming fans. It's so fun to be a part of such a hit show. The support the audience and the fans show us is remarkable. And for you big Wicked fans who know every line of our show, you're in for a treat in the coming weeks cuz they are making some changes to the show. So in another month or so, check us out again and see if you can find the changes and rewrites in the script! Don't worry, Elphaba will still be flying high every nigth! And hey, let's hear it for the Los Angeles company of Wicked. They had their opening night tonight! And my friend Linda Kerns (who I did Beauty and the Beast with in Los Angeles several years ago) is playing my roles in that company! What a small world.

Bye Bye Baltimore

Finally time to say goodbye to Baltimore and hello to summertime! Wicked's off to Florida and we're all ecstatic! But we had our official bon voyage party last night at an awesome hot spot called Pazo. If you're ever in Baltimore, it's not to be a missed. This classy wine bar that's in a renovated building where they used to build ships (so its huge) features some amazing tapas, wines and at midnight it becomes a dance floor. Don't miss it! So long Baltimore. Until next time. See you on the beach!

Let's Hear It For Boq

I mean, let's face it...of all the characters in Wicked, doesn't your heart go out to Boq the most? He's in love with the wrong girl. He gives up his life just to be kindhearted to Nessa and then gets his heart shattered over and over and over only to end up a tinman with no heart. He's just a sweet little guy who will do anything for love and he gets stabbed in the back, don't you think?

But then there the real Boq...Josh Lamon...the actor who plays him. Talk about a heart. This guy's got a huge one!! Not a day goes by that his kindhearted, jolly nature doesn't fill the theatre with joy and sprite-like exuberance. For any of you fans out there who wonder about him...well, he's clever, funny, incredibly unique, and always out to make our work a fun place to be. Let's hear it for Josh Lamon. Josh Lamon everybody. Josh Lamon!

It's amazing what we can do with the internet. In only 24 hours I was able to locate the fans, have them send me this photo and post it here. Wow, what an amazing world we live in. If you're reading this and you haven't heard of WitchesofOz.com, I highly recommend you check it out. If you're a Wicked fan, it's the place to be. Please enjoy my photo of Thomas and Danielle who found this blog through the website. Thanks guys!

My First Fan Encounter

I had a great night tonight when two wonderful folks came to the stage door and actually recognized me by name and said that they read my blog. I was thrilled! So, lovely people, if you're reading this, I'd love to know your names and post the photo of us on my blog so please send it to me! I've also been contacted by the folks of WitchesofOz.com who are interested in adopting me. The fan support of this show is truly incredible. Thanks to you all.

As for updates, I had my Madame Morrible put-in rehearsal last week...it went wonderfully well. I look forward to going on in that juicy role. But for now I'm having a blast delivering Elphaba every night and singing my way through the land of Oz. We're headed into our last week in Baltimore and I'm thrilled about Winter ending! We're off to Florida next and I can't wait!

More soon.
